Motorola Moto X4 Android One edition starts receiving the Android Oreo 8.0 update.
The new firmware version of the update is OPW27.1, and along with Android Oreo, you also get the latest security patch, probably the December level security patch is baked within this one, so the size is around 1.1GB.

Android Oreo 8.0 brings a lot of goodies that everyone’s waiting for since a couple of months now, for instance, the highly anticipated picture in picture taking multi-tasking to another level, better battery optimizations are welcomes here and other minor changes such as notification badges, redesigned emojis and much more.
Now as per the norm, if the update has shown up yet on your end, then be patient, such updates spread across various regions in phases, covering one particular area in the first phase. And you need at least 50% or more battery life in reserve on your X4 to install this update without any issues. Moreover, it is recommended to such updates over WiFi rather than mobile data to avoid any extra data charges.
Just so you know, that the Motorola Moto X4 Android One edition is a device made in partnership with Google, and is a rebranded Moto X4, which has received the update yet, but might win it soon. As it also runs on stock android, on the other hand, Moto Z2 Force received the stable build of Oreo on Verizon. The budget devices like the Moto G5 Plus and the G5S Plus should be next in the line for the Oreo treatment.
